Dr. Boris Mardian is the owner and lead optometrist at Broadway Family Optometry, where his focus is providing thorough, compassionate, and personalized eye care to every patient who walks through the door. With over 25 years of clinical experience in both general and pediatric optometry, Dr. Mardian blends deep professional knowledge with genuine warmth, ensuring patients not only see well, but also feel cared for.

His passion for optometry began at a very young age, after undergoing eye surgery to correct amblyopia (lazy eye). That early experience sparked a lifelong curiosity about vision and led him to a career dedicated to improving the eye health and quality of life of his patients.

Before taking ownership of Broadway Family Optometry in 2020, Dr. Mardian dedicated the early part of his career to advancing his knowledge, building a wide foundation of clinical experience, and sharpening his diagnostic and treatment expertise in ocular disease management, vision correction, and contact lens fitting. He later served for ten years at Facey Medical Group, working closely with a pediatric ophthalmologist and developing a strong foundation in pediatric optometry.

Beyond the exam room, Dr. Mardian is also a sub-investigator for a global clinical research organization, assessing ocular side effects and ensuring patient safety in pharmaceutical trials. He has provided care in community clinics and school-based programs, often serving under-resourced families, a reflection of his deep compassion and commitment to the communities around him.

At Broadway Family Optometry, Dr. Mardian leads a close-knit, friendly team that makes every patient feel welcome. The clinic offers comprehensive eye exams, glasses and contact lens fittings, pediatric care, dry eye and allergy treatment, disease diagnosis and management, and co-management for LASIK and other surgical procedures. In addition to his extensive experience in comprehensive family eye care, Dr. Boris Mardian has been actively involved in Early Phase clinical research as a Sub-Investigator, collaborating with contract research organizations on studies requiring specialized ophthalmic safety assessments. His research experience includes comprehensive ocular examinations, automated infrared neuro-pupillometry, and the development of protocol-specific ophthalmic examination and documentation procedures. He has also provided specialized training in pupillometry to clinical research personnel at local and out-of-state research facilities.

Building on this experience, Dr. Mardian continues to pursue opportunities for independent clinical research collaborations through Broadway Family Optometry and at affiliated research facilities. His interests include ophthalmic safety evaluations, ocular diagnostic assessments, and protocol-driven clinical investigations.
